A Review of the Char-Broil Quantum Infrared Urban Gas Grill

by barbie on April 27th, 2011

I have owned several different grills over the past years, and I had to make sure that I took the time to do my research before replacing the one I had previously. I chanced upon the Char-Broil Quantum Infrared Urban Gas Grill, and I wasn’t really too certain if I wanted to spend almost 300 dollars on this unit. The reviews were pretty good, but being a grill fanatic myself, I have also tried grills in the past that really didn’t work as efficiently. Aside from that, I also wasn’t that knowledgeable around the concept of using the “Quantum Infrared” cooking system. It seemed like a great way to cook consistently and efficiently, so I got one for my home and tried it out.

The Details: One of the first things that you will notice about the Char-Broil Quantum Infrared Urban Gas Grill is how solid and sturdy it is. The side shelves were a definite plus, and it helps you keep your food in one place instead of having to run around trying to find the next batch of ingredients. The temperature gauge makes it ideal for me to set controls, depending on how hot I want the grates to burn. The only drawback is that it takes a while to set up when using it for the first time, but that quickly melts away once you get it to work.

The Verdict: Since I have used a lot of grills in the past, the aesthetic of my grill was never really my first priority. This was until I got to use the Char-Broil Quantum Infrared Grill! Made of stainless steel and painted steel appliance style cart construction, culinary lovers and homemakers will surely love seeing this as a great addition to their kitchen. Spacious, easy to clean and convenient to use, I highly recommend this to fellow grill fanatics like me!
